Life On The Road with ALS

ALS Advocacy One Mile at a Time

ALS in Aggie Land

Today, Meg and I had the privilege and honor to attend the 2023 Commencement of The Texas A&M School of Pharmacy. It was an incredible experience to witness the culmination of many years of hard work.

I am especially proud of the fact that I Am ALS had a slight part in their education. In particular, the ALS experience and perspective from patients, caregivers, and advocates. You see, they hosted a Tim Lowrey Panel that I participated in. If you haven’t heard of these, ask me about it. The panels are done virtually to any organization interested in learning more about ALS and how they can engage.

I was moved by the keynote speaker and his comments. In particular, how pharmacist’s were instrumental during the pandemic in exponentially vaccinating a large percentage of the population. He then challenged the graduates to ensure their patients’ needs are met by advocating for them. A very good message overall.

Congratulations, class of 2023! Best of luck in all your endeavors.
